Verona, Italy

Standard

A little town with so much history and shops. But we had one attraction in mind – the tower that is said to have inspired Shakespeare to write the tragedy Romeo and Juliet! It’s a 30 minute walk from the bus parking and going there, we had to pass by a mini coliseum structure and a huge columned building which was their post office.

The famous tower was small with a garden on the side. Going in, you’d pass by a tunnel with tons of grafitti with words of love for one another.

I wonder what was going through Shakespeare’s head as he looked at the tower?
