Foodie: The Early Bird Breakfast Club

Standard

Spent a weekend in Nuvali and after a week of home cooked meals (thanks to the APEC 2015), I was craving for something restaurant-made. So before heading to church at Victory Sta Rosa (join us every Sunday with services at 9am, 11am, 3pm and 5pm at the Monochrome), we had a hearty breakfast at The Early Bird Breakfast Club located at Solenad 3. I actually passed by this place after we had dinner at Bawaii the night before and the homey interiors and cute menu caught my eye.
They open at 7am until 10pm. Around 8am, we were seated at the restaurant with only a handful of others but by 8:30am, the place was packed and there was a waitlist! It didn’t help that there was a nearby running/bicycle event with very hungry participants. Anyway, the place is very cozy with lots of picture perfect nooks. Even their restroom was pretty.

So cute that their menu is in the form of a newspaper with so many meals to choose from! The price tag is way above average but you also get above average meals in terms of both quantity and quality. We ordered their Eggs Benedict (P420) which is made up of a huge English breakfast muffin with cheese and a thick serving of sweet ham, topped with 2 poached eggs and smothered in hollandaise sauce, Smoked Salmon (P310) with toast and egg and a cup of Hazelnut Latte (P120) and brewed coffee (P110). As mentioned, the serving for the Eggs Benedict were huge! Good enough for two light eaters. And it was delish! There was so much ham in the muffin, it will really fill you up (I didn’t eat lunch anymore, I was that full!). I wasn’t even able to finish the eggs! Salmon is always a good choice (my family loves salmon!) and perfect for someone watching their weight. Both of the coffees though aren’t anything special. I still crave for Josephine’s Kape Barako. For the price of P110 for their brewed coffee, it’s nothing special.

It was pretty awesome to eat there. The only thing I don’t like is that it took them quite a while to get back with our bill. But all in all, if you want to splurge for breakfast food at any time of the day, this is a place where you get your every centavos’ worth.
