As my brother and I were driving around, Adele’s song Someone Like You popped on the radio. My brother, jokingly, though most probably half seriously, said: ang daming babaeng kinanta yan nung kinasal ako (many women sang that song when I got married). The point being that those single women he left will find someone like my brother.
Random thought: If you were dumped by someone you loved and liked, this song may apply to you. But as a dumper, you’re probably thinking, “Why would I find someone like you? I left you because there was something wrong with you, with me, with us.”
Though I think the dumpee wouldn’t look for someone exactly like their ex’es since it didn’t end well, anyway.
So, thank you Adele for the music but then again, no thank you.
Another random thought: did you know Adele and Taylor Swift are practically the same age? Interesting.
