Review: Ketchup Community’s Canto

Standard

So guess where we had dinner right after Happy Tummy? Ketchup Community’s Canto! Haha! I actually wanted to try Ozark since I’ve read tons of reviews and recommendations on it but we found out it’s a bit far and my mom wasn’t really up to it. And since my brother was craving for some meat, Canto was the perfect choice!

The place was packed and there was a line when we got there at around 7:30pm, which is to be expected because it was a weekend and during dinner time but good thing there was a staff making the reservations. You can actually stay at another restaurant, say Happy Tummy, and cross order but since we weren’t that hungry yet and my brother wanted to sit inside, we opted to wait. After about 20minutes, we were seated.

Of course, we ordered their best seller, the Large Lomo Ribs good for 2-3 people (Php400), Veggie Pizza (Php 160), Chili Fries (Php 99), rice and for dessert, Dessert Nachos (Php 160). Again, everything was sooo good! The ribs were perfectly cooked – soft, tender and falls off the bones – with the perfect bbq sauce. I love how they didn’t drown the meat in sauce, which is something most Pinoy restos do. They just give you some extra sauce to suite your taste but I didn’t need some anymore. The pizza was good too and I could probably eat a whole one if I was really hungry since it’s thin-crust and just plate-sized. Haha! Chili fries was ok and perfect for the price. My fave after the ribs was the dessert nachos! Covered in cinnamon with lots of vanilla ice cream – about 3 scoops of it – it was the perfect ending to the night.

Served with a pitcher of lemon water, dinner was really great! Quick service by nice staff! Oh, they even gave me a birthday cupcake (thanks to my brother’s request. Haha!). Cupcake wasn’t special but hey, it was free so thanks! All in all, I would love to go back there when I’m in Baguio again. J
